The Event Overwatch Course is a mission-driven program designed for Law Enforcement Snipers and LPVO-equipped Patrol Officers tasked with providing armed overwatch and threat interdiction during public events, tactical operations, and high-risk details.
This course delivers real-world training for real-world threats — from glassing a crowd to engaging threats in seconds. You'll build the skills, mindset, and tactical decision-making required to operate in no-fail overwatch roles.
Core Training Blocks:
- Marksmanship Fundamentals Refresher – Confirm zero and sharpen your baseline with a focus on repeatable precision and recoil management under stress.
- Supported Alternate Positions – Utilize barricades, tripods, and improvised cover to build stable positions in complex environments.
- Rapid Engagement Techniques – Speed up your shot process with efficient target acquisition, holds, and transitions under time constraints.
- High Angle Shooting – Learn to calculate and apply angular corrections for rooftop and elevated engagements.
- Observation Techniques – Develop the ability to detect pre-threat indicators, read human behavior, identify anomalies in complex environments, and effectively communicate real-time intelligence.
- Overwatch Mission Planning – Cover site selection, field sketching, comms plan, as well as integrating with command structure and supporting elements.
